Are you an adventurous service technician with a mechanical background who enjoys traveling?

Seize the opportunity to work on exciting projects in hydropower where you can combine your technical knowledge with a varied and social job on-site.

In this role, you will work Monday to Thursday with longer shifts and then have Friday to Sunday completely off. Projects usually last 9–12 months, requiring you to be comfortable staying away during the workweek. Initially, you will be employed as a consultant through Lernia, with the goal of transitioning to employment with our client if the collaboration feels good for all parties.

Accommodation is provided by the project owner and typically consists of shared housing in a house or apartment. The role suits you if you enjoy community, flexibility, and working closely with others in a team.

About the position

As a traveling service technician, you will work on projects at hydropower plants. The work is varied and practical, focusing on mechanics, service, and assembly. You will work alongside colleagues but also need to take initiative as you will be the face of the customer. A professional and clear dialogue with the client is therefore important.

Your tasks may include:

• Mechanical assembly and disassembly

• Adjustments, repairs, and improvement work

• Sheet metal work and manufacturing/adjusting simple constructions

• Generator replacements and other major component changes

• Preventive maintenance at the facility

About you

Formal qualifications

We are looking for someone with experience in industry, mechanics, assembly, or other practical technical work. You enjoy working away for most of the week and see the benefits of working intensively from Monday to Thursday to then be off Friday to Sunday. There will likely be good opportunities to take on extra work for those who find it interesting.

To succeed in this role, you need to be:

• Independent – you can make decisions and take responsibility for your tasks

• Social and collaborative – you enjoy working closely with a team

• Confident in customer contact – you represent Lernia and ensure good dialogue with the customer

You also need:

• Driver's license B

• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

• ESA Waterways

• ESA Non-electrical work

If you lack any of these ESA trainings, there is an opportunity to take the training through us before the project starts.

Meritorious

It is an advantage if you have:

• Basic electrical knowledge

• Experience in assembly, service, or maintenance within industry or energy

• Experience working in project form or from hydropower plants

• Familiarity with customer contact and representing a business at client sites

• Hot work

• Training for mobile platforms

• Fall protection training

• Forklift training

• Experience working in other locations during the week
