Service Assistant – Summer/Festival Job at Östersund Hospital

RESPONSIBILITIES

A service assistant works in close collaboration with the hospital's operations and contributes to enabling healthcare staff to focus on their care-related tasks. By taking responsibility for service assignments in the ward kitchens, we relieve the workload of healthcare staff and create conditions for more time with patients.

The role involves working in one of our ward kitchens where we prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to patients. The work is varied and service-oriented, with the aim of providing the best possible support to healthcare. We currently work according to the Cook and chill production method, which means that tray setting, as well as heating and handling of meals, takes place directly in the ward kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, at least 18 years old, and has completed upper secondary education.

You are flexible, solution-focused, and enjoy a role where you take responsibility and work independently. Since the position involves placement on one or more hospital wards, you need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks efficiently.

To provide good service, it is important that you have a professional approach and appreciate collaboration with others. You must be able to read, write, speak, and understand Swedish at a level that ensures patient safety. The work is mobile and involves some lifting, which requires good physical ability. You also have very good computer skills and are confident in handling documentation and orders digitally.

As a person, you are social and outgoing, and you see it as natural to be involved in the development of both your own work and the group's work. You are responsible, curious, and eager to learn more about the service area. You enjoy varied tasks and find it easy to switch between different work activities. A careful working method, where the patient's and customer's experience is in focus, is a given for you. You value good collaborations and good relationships with colleagues in everyday life.

Experience of working in a healthcare environment, with care-related service tasks, or from restaurants and other service professions with customer contact is an asset.
