We are now looking for you who want to work as an Adult Treatment Specialist and be part of our wonderful operation. As an Adult Treatment Specialist, you will be part of our team within Support and Treatment. Other units within Individual, Family and Work include investigation and follow-up, support and employment, and the housing unit.

Working as an Adult Treatment Specialist is more than a job – it is a mission that changes lives. You will become an important part of breaking patterns of violence, supporting people with addictions, and giving relatives tools to handle difficult situations.

Job Description

We are looking for a treatment specialist for the Support and Treatment unit who can work with adults primarily affected by domestic violence but also by harmful use and addiction.

As a treatment specialist, you work on behalf of authorities according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and/or the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) or the Care of Adults with Psychiatric Illness Act (LVM). Under the new Social Services Act, this also includes interventions without needs assessment. Depending on the assignment, this includes both targeted treatment interventions and support conversations with individuals, groups, and networks. You work individually with adults who are victims of violence, those who perpetrate violence, relatives support, and harmful use and addiction.

The role also includes practical tasks together with the individual. Adult Treatment Specialists work proactively when needed or when such assignments are formulated. As a provider of assignments, you are expected to document performed interventions according to current legislation.

We have implemented the "Signs of Safety" approach throughout our entire area of operation to create a common view and attitude towards those we serve. Therefore, you are expected to work based on this approach together with clients and colleagues.

Working hours are scheduled during the day but may include weekends and evenings.

You will receive external case supervision.

Qualifications and Merits

Qualifications:
The applicant must have a degree in social work or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have current experience in adult treatment related primarily to domestic violence, but also experience working with harmful use and addiction.

Merits:
Further education such as "Talks and Freedom" and "Talks about Violence", MI (Motivational Interviewing), and CRA (Community Reinforcement Approach) are meritorious. We use the documentation system Journal Digital, and experience with it is also considered meritorious.

We see that you have an unpretentious approach towards clients and colleagues, making you perceived as humble with an open mind. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, stress tolerance, and can handle complex situations, contributing to a good work environment. Since we are a small municipality, flexibility is significant. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Category B Driver's License is a requirement as you will be driving in the service.
