We at Hultsbergsskolan are now looking for a teacher with qualifications to teach textile crafts in grades 3–9, who wants to play an important role in the students' development and have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.

Hultsbergsskolan is a school with approximately 500 students from preschool class to grade 9.

At Hultsbergsskolan, we work from a preschool–grade 9 perspective, which also includes adapted primary school. An accessible learning environment is the focus of the school, where we create a school and teaching environment with the students at the center. We work to create the best possible conditions for learning based on a relational approach.

At our school, the staff is divided into different work teams. Our upper secondary level (grades 7–9) is one of the smallest in Karlstad, which provides good conditions for all students to be noticed every day and to experience good study conditions.

Responsibilities

As a teacher in textile crafts, your main task is to develop students' knowledge and skills in accordance with the curriculum, starting from each student's individual needs, prerequisites, and interests.

You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching independently by formulating clear goals, choosing appropriate methods, and creating varied and structured content that stimulates students' learning and engagement.

You create a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to participate and develop. An important part of the role is to continuously evaluate teaching together with the students and use the results to develop the quality of teaching, students' learning, and your own professional development.

As a teacher, you are part of a work team where you collaborate with colleagues and contribute to collegial learning and the development of the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach textile crafts in grades 3–9.

To succeed in the role, you are a self-reliant and resilient person who takes responsibility for the entire teaching process – from planning to follow-up. You have a structured way of working and see planning as an important foundation for creating security, while also having the ability to be flexible and adapt teaching based on students' needs.

You have good cooperation skills and actively contribute to a good working climate and a development-oriented collegial work. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and have an easy time building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You adapt your communication to the recipient and situation and create conditions for a safe and respectful classroom climate.
