We are currently looking for a Social Worker (Socialsekreterare/Socionom) or equivalent degree (Bachelor's in Social Pedagogy or Behavioral Science) who is also trained as a supervisor (minimum 15 ECTS credits) with a specialization in foster care.

Experience in social work is a requirement, with a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and assessment of foster homes prior to placements.
• Matching children/young people with suitable foster families.
• Support and follow-up during ongoing placements.
• Supervision of foster parents, helping them understand and manage the child's needs, behaviors, and relationships.
• Crisis and conflict management when difficulties arise in the placement.
• Collaboration with social services, schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), guardians, and other stakeholders.
• Educational initiatives for foster homes, such as training on trauma, attachment, neurodevelopmental disorders, addiction, or professional conduct.
• Reflective and development meetings to strengthen the foster home's ability to provide good care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Social Worker degree or equivalent (Bachelor's in Social Pedagogy or Behavioral Science).
• Supervisor training, 15 ECTS credits (specializing in foster care).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in foster care.
• Valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a personal car.
• Experience working with individuals with substance abuse issues, criminal backgrounds, or mental health challenges.
