Skyddsvärnet i Göteborg is a non-profit association with approximately 40 employees who provide support to individuals in socially vulnerable situations, often in collaboration with the City of Gothenburg and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.

The housing department of Skyddsvärnet currently consists of seven employees, including six Case Managers and one Group Manager. We primarily work with the "Housing First" model and supported social housing, but we also accommodate individuals in need of training apartments, sheltered housing, or emergency assistance. Skyddsvärnet's headquarters are located on Haga Kyrkogata, while the housing department has its office at Hisingsgatan 30 (near Vågmästarplatsen on Hisingen).

We are now looking for a new employee, primarily within the "Housing First" unit. Here, we provide support to individuals who have experienced long-term homelessness and are given the opportunity to live in an apartment that they can take over, provided they maintain it according to tenancy laws. Working hours are usually during the day on weekdays, although some evening and weekend work may occur.

We are looking for you who are a Social Worker (Socionom) or a Social Pedagogue.

You will work independently but with daily support from colleagues and the Group Manager. The majority of the work is mobile, meaning you visit clients in their own homes or travel between visits. As a Case Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to be involved in people's change processes.

The target group living with us often faces social vulnerability and complex problems. It is not uncommon for them to have both substance abuse issues and mental health challenges, which have significantly impacted their situation and led to homelessness.

The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about the target group, works in a relationship-building and sustainable manner, and is humble. You enjoy working independently and systematically, are meticulous in your work, have a good sense of how to meet people in difficult situations, and possess a strong ability for collaboration and cooperation with others. Regular and ongoing documentation is part of the job.

Completion of basic training in "Housing First" as well as MI (Motivational Interviewing) and LAB training is considered an advantage. A valid B-driver's license is required for the position. This is a permanent position starting with a probationary period.

Interviews will be conducted continuously throughout the application period.

The appointment is planned, if possible, for the end of summer 2026.
