Do you want to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and sustainable school environment for children and young people in Täby? As a school counselor with us, you will become an important part of the school's student health work in a municipal operation where education and care go hand in hand.

The Hägerneholm principal's area consists of Hägerneholm School, Hägerneholm Preschool, and Trädgårdsstaden Preschool. The operations are led by a common principal together with three deputy principals. We work based on common values and routines with the goal of creating a safe and supportive environment where all students feel included and have good conditions for learning and development.

About the position

As a school counselor, you have a central role in the school's student health work and work both promotively and preventively for the students' security and well-being. You contribute to the development of the school's security work by analyzing sociograms, mapping, and survey results, and translating these into concrete measures.

You offer supportive conversations to students and guardians and act as support for the school's educators in social and psychosocial matters. In your work, you identify and strengthen risk and protective factors with a focus on the salutogenic perspective – promoting health, well-being, and what works well at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

You are part of the student health team and collaborate closely with school management, school nurse, special needs educator, special teacher, and work teams to create the best possible conditions for each student.

In the role, you also collaborate with external actors such as social services and primary psychiatric care to create sustainable support measures for the students.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a degree in social work or other equivalent higher education
• Have good knowledge of the school's governing documents and student health work
• Have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Are structured, flexible, and confident in handling complex situations
• Have a solution-focused and professional approach
• Enjoy working cross-professionally and health-promoting

Basic legal knowledge is meritorious.
