Description

We are looking for a person to replace our Leisure Coordinator during parental leave. The role includes primary responsibility for the Leisure Bank (Fritidsbanken) and open leisure activities. Together with a Culture Coordinator who starts in June, you will be responsible for dialogue with the local sports and community associations.

The position is based at the Leisure Bank in Filipstad. From here, support is provided to the community sector, which we collectively call "association services." You will work broadly with open activities within sports and outdoor life, with a focus on promotion and prevention. There is also a colleague working on-site with lending and borrowing. You will also have access to an office space at Filipstad Culture & Conference, where several other colleagues from the Culture and Leisure Administration are located. As we are a relatively small administration with several small operations, we often collaborate across operational boundaries when extra resources are needed or during absences.

The work is primarily scheduled during daytime hours, but evening and weekend activities may occur on special occasions such as school holidays.

Responsibilities

You will organize and conduct holiday and break-time activities, outdoor days at schools, family activities, etc. You have primary responsibility for hall bookings and serve as the contact person for RF SISU. You are responsible for the operation of the Leisure Bank, including lending, sorting, receiving equipment, and seasonal changes involving display and maintenance of equipment.

You will support the Head of Operations in the work with calls for applications and processing of operational grants, investment grants, and other support for sports and outdoor associations. You are expected to write service descriptions and operational descriptions, as well as manage budgets for smaller projects or external funds.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education relevant to the position. You are interested in public health issues, sports, and outdoor life, and have experience from the community sector. We would appreciate if you have local knowledge of sports and community life. You have good computer skills and knowledge of the Office package. Experience working in administrative systems and with customer service is meritorious. You have experience working with young people, preferably with a pedagogical approach. A B-driver's license for manual transmission vehicles is a requirement.

You communicate clearly and simply in speech and writing and can work independently and problem-solve based on given directions. To succeed in the role, you need to be creative, self-motivated, and meticulous. You have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work in a structured and efficient manner.
