We are now looking for a personal assistant for a wheelchair-bound woman.

You will be part of a team with other assistants. The work is based at the woman's home in Höör, but other locations are also involved as she is very social and active in the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The citizen is a talkative and social woman who loves to sing! She also enjoys having coffee and socializing, and painting on days when her energy is low. After a fracture in her knee and shoulder, she has difficulty walking. She uses an electric wheelchair outdoors and a standing frame indoors. Her physical ability varies from day to day as she has nerve damage from the underlying disease CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) which affects both mobility and skin sensitivity. She lives with her cat, so it is important that you are animal-friendly. The woman smokes, but only outdoors or under a fan.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Assist with dressing and undressing
• Assist with cooking
• Household tasks such as cleaning and grocery shopping
• Help with showering and toilet assistance
• Accompany on walks
• Accompany to doctor's appointments
• Be a social companion, preferably with conversation and singing (a big plus if you also like to sing!)

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who

• Are social, caring, and empathetic
• Are patient and flexible with understanding for varying physical needs
• Are animal-friendly
• Enjoy singing and music
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have a driver's license
• Have experience in personal assistance
• We consider it an advantage if you are also trained as a nursing assistant and/or have training as a personal assistant

A three-month probationary period applies initially, which, if successful, converts to a permanent position. This is to ensure the personal relationship and chemistry between the citizen and the employee.

Salary type: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
Working hours: Schedule. You will work according to a schedule during the day/evening and every other weekend.

The position will be filled subject to necessary political decisions being made and provided it does not need to be taken for internal use.
