Responsibilities

As a teacher for grades 4–6, your main task is to develop students' knowledge and skills in accordance with the national curriculum, based on each student's individual needs and prerequisites. You plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching by formulating clear goals, choosing appropriate methods and materials, and preparing structured and engaging lessons.

You work systematically to evaluate and develop your teaching, both independently and together with students and colleagues. Through collegial learning and reflection, you contribute to constantly improving the quality of teaching and strengthening student learning. At the same time, you develop your own professional approach and actively contribute to the school's joint development work.

The position involves being a class advisor (mentor) for a grade 4 class, where you play a central role in monitoring students' academic development, social development, and well-being. As a mentor, you are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, maintaining continuous contact with guardians, and collaborating with colleagues and the student health team to meet students' needs in the best possible way.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4–6, preferably with qualifications in English, Swedish, mathematics, and natural sciences.

You take clear responsibility for your role as a teacher and are both proactive and flexible in your working methods. You have the ability to plan, implement, and adapt teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites, while contributing to a safe and structured learning environment.

As a person, you are relationship-building and establish trusting relationships with students, which creates study peace, motivation, and good social development in the group. In your role as a mentor, you are present, engaged, and have good dialogue with guardians regarding students' development and well-being.

You have strong collaboration skills and thrive working together with colleagues, student health services, and school leadership. You actively contribute to collegial learning and view development as a shared concern.

Furthermore, we see that you are creative in your teaching and use varied working methods to awaken students' curiosity and desire to learn. You dare to try new ideas and adapt your working methods to create engaging and accessible teaching for all students.
