Vellinge Municipality is Hiring a Work and Establishment Coach

Vellinge Municipality is now seeking an employee for the Work and Establishment operation. The operation consists of employees who, through various roles, support residents towards self-sufficiency and increased well-being. The workplace includes, among others, work and establishment coaches who work with newly arrived persons needing establishment in society, as well as project staff through the ESF (European Social Fund) project, New Paths – Together towards work and studies.

The project targets residents aged 16 to 29 who lack self-sufficiency, as well as residents aged 18 to 64 with perceived or diagnosed mental or physical ill-health who lack self-sufficiency. The project is equipped to work with referred persons from Economic Assistance and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, but also with self-referred persons.

To reach more residents who are far from their independence, the team is now being expanded with a person who, through a one-year project, will create space to work with self-referred persons (non-needs-tested interventions). This means offering services to persons who, through self-referral or outreach work, are in need of the operation's interventions without delay. The interventions are to be designed based on the individual's needs with the aim of reducing risk factors and increasing protective factors, as well as creating a meaningful everyday life and future for those who have sought out the intervention themselves. All of this to create opportunities at as early a stage as possible, with the goal of working towards an independent life.

Your Role

Your role as a work and establishment coach primarily collaborates with project staff within New Paths – Together towards work and studies. Therefore, continuous training initiatives will be provided to increase competence regarding mental ill-health from a gender equality, non-discrimination, and accessibility perspective. You will be part of a team with a project manager and three project supervisors, all of whom have an IPS-inspired way of working.

Responsibilities

Your assignment as a work and establishment coach in the current project involves identifying, supporting, motivating, and guiding participants towards increased well-being on the path to finding work, studies, or other self-sufficiency. A large part of the work involves collaborating with other parties such as the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, psychiatry, other operations within the municipality, as well as employers. You map out and plan the work together with the participant.

You will also have contact with employers and work on finding and matching work and practicum placements. The work involves documentation in the operation system Journal Digital.

Qualifications

You are empathetic, confident in yourself, and have an understanding of the challenges the target group may face. You adapt easily to different situations that may arise in collaboration with participants, employers, and other parties. As a team player, you pay attention to others' opinions, develop relationships, and contribute to clarifying the group's tasks and goals.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
