What we do and want

At Stimmets School, approximately 280 students attend, ranging from preschool class to grade 6. Many of our students speak several languages and enrich the school with their cultural backgrounds. We bring the outside world into our teaching, but we also take the school out into the world. Our school is centrally located in Tyresö with easy access to public transport, yet nature is right at our doorstep.

About the position

As a class teacher in grade 1, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching based on the national curriculum. You work to ensure that teaching maintains high quality and is adapted to each student's needs and prerequisites.

The role involves:

• Planning, implementing, assessing, and developing teaching
• Monitoring and documenting students' knowledge development
• Creating clear structures and a secure learning climate
• Actively working with students' social and academic development
• Conducting mentorship and development talks
• Collaborating closely with colleagues, the after-school center, and the school's special educational needs team

You will be part of a work team together with teachers in grades F–3, where collaboration, collegial learning, and the student's best interests are in focus.

Who are you?

You are a secure, warm, and clear leader in the classroom. You have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you contribute to a positive work climate by supporting and uplifting others.

You plan your teaching in a structured and clear manner, while remaining flexible and solution-focused when conditions change. With an inclusive and permissive approach, you create security and a love for learning among the students.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Teaching certification with eligibility for grades F–3
• Good knowledge of current regulatory documents
• Good digital competence and experience working with digital pedagogical tools
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience teaching in grades F–3
• Experience working with students with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses
• Experience with extra adaptations and special support
• Experience with mentorship

The position is permanent and 100%. The position will be filled subject to the condition that it does not need to be reserved for internal reassignments.
