The Social Services Administration's task is to work with social services and provide support, so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has the same opportunities in life. We want everyone to be able to be active and participate in society. With a focus on respecting the individual's right to determine their own life, we are responsible for three important areas: care and nursing, support for people with disabilities, and assistance to individuals and families. Our goal is for everyone to receive the support and care they need.

The Workplace

The Individual and Family Care consists of five units: the intake and investigation unit, the advice and support unit, the foster care and family law unit, the addiction and adult unit, and the preventive unit, and we have a total of around 100 employees.

At the intake and investigation unit, you will become part of an experienced and stable work group of 22 investigating social secretaries, four social secretaries with intake functions, two security planners, two first-level social secretaries, and one unit manager.

You will receive a structured introduction and continuous competence development in areas such as MI (Motivational Interviewing) and Signs of Safety. External and internal supervision is a matter of course, just as is having an accessible management.

Job Responsibilities

The task of the investigating social secretary involves investigating, deciding on, and following up on interventions in cases concerning children, young people, and their families. The work is relationship and network-oriented; to achieve sustainable changes, you build collaborations with the family, their network, and other important adults around the child.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a degree in Social Work. You have experience with authority exercises within social services, preferably directed towards children and young people. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

We are looking for a confident and structured social secretary who thrives in a workday consisting of both acute situations and long-term investigative work. You have communicative and pedagogical competence, which is crucial for the task as the work is largely based on close collaboration with the child's network. To succeed in the role, you are flexible, have the ability to prioritize, and meet people with a professional and empathetic approach. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

A Category B driver's license is required.

Before employment is offered, you need to present a certificate of completion from a social work education, ID document (passport or national ID card), and an extract from the criminal record.
