The Adult Psychiatry area in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm, with all inpatient care provided in Helsingborg. We provide specialist psychiatric care and treatment for patients with severe mental health issues. Our catchment area consists of ten municipalities in northwestern Scania, with which we have a good cooperative relationship through joint meetings and care planning. Our patients often have a complex clinical picture with both somatic and psychiatric comorbidities. Here, you will have the opportunity to follow your patients on their path to recovery alongside our competent teams.

We offer care at three levels: outpatient care, day care, and inpatient care. We actively work on our implementation efforts, where follow-up and evaluation are important aspects for the team. To provide the best possible care, the eating disorder team integrates outpatient, day, and inpatient care, working together to follow the patient regardless of care needs or level. The eating disorder team provides specialized eating disorder care across all three levels of care. We offer you great opportunities to influence the team's work and its continued development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now have the opportunity to welcome another psychologist colleague to our team!

The role of psychologist involves standard psychological tasks such as assessment and, in particular, the treatment of eating disorders. You will primarily work with individual therapy and, depending on patient caseloads, also with group therapies. Additionally, you will assess care levels and maintain contact with other psychiatric clinics and care partners. Your position is based in outpatient care where you have your office, but like the rest of the team, your duties will also include day care and inpatient care.

The work is guided by standardized care processes and relevant guidelines, ensuring evidence-based practice. At our clinic, we work based on the CBT-E treatment manual. Since 2025, we have been testing treatment based on DBT-SS, which is part of our development work regarding how to support patients with emotional regulation difficulties when this co-occurs with eating disorder issues. As a psychologist, you have a key role in this development work. You are expected to be active in the development towards patient-safe, research-based psychiatric care. We offer regular supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you if you are a licensed psychologist with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Additionally, you are comfortable working with CBT-oriented treatment. We would appreciate it if you have experience of eating disorder treatment within adult psychiatry. Since several of our patients have comorbidities, it is also an advantage if you have worked with patients who have multiple diagnoses.

As a person, you are flexible, proactive, and creative. We want you to contribute to good cooperation through strong engagement, good communication, a positive attitude, and by sharing your knowledge. As the work is both individual and team-based, you must be able to work independently as well as collaborate with colleagues in the team. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
