Within the Social Care Administration, approximately 1,200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home help services, disability support, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

About the Workplace

In the Night Patrol, you help users who need care, support, and services during the night hours within the home help service. The work means that you contribute to safety and well-being through planned interventions and individually adapted support in the users' own homes.

The Night Patrol is one of eight home help groups in Ystad Municipality and is responsible for all home help areas during the night. The operation covers both Ystad's urban area and the municipality's rural areas, which means a varied and independent work where you meet many different people and needs.

As an employee in the Night Patrol, you become an important part of a dedicated team working to create safety, continuity, and good care for the municipality's residents – even when the rest of society is asleep.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves providing good care, support, and service to our users, as well as supporting them in their daily lives to create safety, independence, and well-being. You help with personal care, night-time supervision, medication management, and other individually adapted interventions based on the user's needs.

During your shift, you carry out both planned visits and respond to safety alarms and other urgent matters that may arise. The Night Patrol's work is varied and contributes to users feeling safe in their homes even during the night hours.

Working hours are scheduled for nights between 22:30 and 07:30.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a warm and respectful manner and a genuine desire to make a difference for other people. Great importance is placed on personal suitability, engagement, and the ability to create safety in the meeting with our users.

To be qualified for the position, the following is required:

  • You must be at least 18 years old by June 30th. Work in ordinary housing may involve working alone, medication management, heavy lifting, and situations requiring mature and responsible action. According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3), such tasks are not permitted for minors.
  • You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • You have previous experience in care work.
  • Valid B driving license.

Merits:

  • Education in nursing or pedagogy (attach relevant grades/certificates with the application).
  • Previous experience with night work.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
Working hours: Schedule. Night work with duty every other weekend.
