Make a difference. Every day.

We are now looking for you who are passionate about cardiac care and want to make a real difference for our patients!

Here we care for patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, heart valve diseases, adults with congenital heart defects, as well as patients who have undergone heart transplantation or received a heart pump while waiting for transplantation. The department has 17 beds and also receives a broad general cardiology patient group. Since 2008, Skåne University Hospital has had the national assignment for heart transplantation, and we are proud to be part of this national expertise.

Our operations are characterized by commitment, collaboration, and a strong desire to develop cardiac care. We believe in clear communication and lack of hierarchy - this creates security and involvement for both patients and employees. Here, high-tech monitoring and advanced treatment meet care needs of varying complexity.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

The tasks as a nurse are varied. You work with nursing interventions, medical treatment, education, and always have a person-centered approach. You have the help of both physiotherapists, occupational therapists, counselors, dietitians, and a department pharmacist. We work according to person-centered care with nursing rounds, digital pulse and green cross boards, as well as patient safety.

"At HTA, I have had the opportunity to constantly develop and move forward. If you have the drive to want to change, you get that opportunity. I never get tired of the job. Creating a good connection between patient, relatives, and staff where person-centered care is the foundation of the care we provide and seeing that our patients develop and can understand and handle their illness better is part of why I work here," says Gabrielle, nurse.

As a newly graduated nurse, you do not work nights during the first six months, and if you are a newly trained nurse, you also go through a clinical base year which includes lectures, clinical skills training, and access to a mentor. For all new employees at the department, we offer an individually adapted six-week shadowing period with a clear structure, observation opportunities, and internal lectures. For those who have worked for a few years, there is an opportunity to specialize in heart failure care via university/college as well as our internal assignment training within the area of operation.

The opportunities to develop in your professional role and constantly deepen your knowledge within cardiac care are significant. We are a department with great job satisfaction. It should be fun to go to work! Here, there is an opportunity to work only nights for those who wish.

We welcome observation visits and please feel free to contact the department directly at 046-17 24 18.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome both newly graduated and experienced nurses. You who apply are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Knowledge of Swedish language at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. If you have previous work experience as a nurse, this is considered meritorious.

As a person, we are looking for you who are driven, sensitive, and engaged in your professional role. We expect you to take responsibility for your own development and actively contribute to creating a good work environment where we all thrive and feel good. It is a prerequisite that you have good communication skills and can build good relationships with both colleagues and patients. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection and interviews may begin before the application period has ended.

We warmly welcome your application, we look forward to getting to know you!
