The South Lapland Pastorate consists of the parishes of Dorotea-Risbäck, Stensele, Lycksele, Vilhelmina, and Åsele-Fredrika. Nearly 100 employees and a large number of dedicated volunteers work within the pastorate. Our collaboration provides the conditions for the five parishes to secure core operations for the future.

In South Lapland Pastorate and Lycksele Parish, the church is an integral part of the community's life. People gather here for worship, church services, conversations, choir singing, children's and youth activities, and diaconal meeting places.

Lycksele is a place where the town meets the wilderness. In Lycksele, you live with nature just outside your door. There are vast forests, lakes, and the Ume River winding through the landscape. For those who enjoy hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities, the area offers unique opportunities – from moose and small game hunting to fishing in flowing waters and quiet tarns. Hiking, snowmobile trails, ski tracks, and paddling are a natural part of the year.

The pastorate's work is based on trust-based leadership. The position involves working in both the central town and surrounding areas, making a driver's license and access to a car necessary.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is ordained as a priest in the Church of Sweden.

For the position:

• Scope: Full-time, permanent
• Start date: According to agreement
• Salary: According to agreement
• Requirement: Ordained in accordance with the Church of Sweden's order
• Workplace: Lycksele Parish, work within the pastorate's parishes may occur
• Other: Driver's license and access to a car
