We are now looking for you who want to work for the social services of the future.
Are you a secure, courageous, and authentic social worker, particularly skilled at building trusting relationships and bridging gaps? Do you also have broad competence within the social services and desire a role where you, together with your colleagues, help shape the mission – then you might be the person we are looking for.
We want to identify children and young people at risk by intervening early. Therefore, we need to move our positions forward to become more accessible and known to those who need us. We need to create structures, strategies, and methods to reduce risks and increase protection, in collaboration with other departments, authorities, and civil society.
The team's mission is to:
Identify children and young people as early as possible by offering positive choices and opportunities, reducing risks, and increasing protection. This may involve active motivational work and interventions for individuals, families, and groups. The purpose is to prevent crime and increase safety in the area. As a social counselor, you will also participate in police interviews and preliminary assessments. The team also works with interventions for young lawbreakers, mediation, and support for young crime victims.
The work is based on shared situational analyses and a knowledge-based approach to increase the possibilities for effective interventions. As a social counselor, you are a crucial link between preventive work and the rest of the social administration's operations. The position involves some evening and weekend work, so flexibility is required.
What can we offer you?
With us, you become part of a team and an organization that is constantly developing. You will have meaningful work where you make a difference for children and young people in Hässleholm. We offer an inclusive and supportive work environment where your ideas and perspectives are valued. There are opportunities for development supported by our resource academy, where we invest in education and professional development.
There is good cooperation between our different departments and favorable conditions for working with preventive measures. In Hässleholm Municipality, we use "Backa Barnet" (Support the Child), the municipality's joint working method to identify children's needs early and provide the right support at the right time. This means that everyone who meets children – regardless of their activity – should have a shared vision, a common language, and concrete tools to put the child's best interests at the center.
Our employees are particularly proud of the commitment present in our workplace. We appreciate the close leadership with responsibility for small groups.
The position is a permanent employment with a start date as soon as possible or as agreed.
Hässleholm Municipality wants to create the best conditions for a sustainable working life, so that you can thrive, feel good, and experience job satisfaction. An important part is offering good benefits to our employees, such as wellness allowances, flexible hours, and the possibility to exchange holiday day supplements for days off.
Who are you?
Your contribution to the team:
You are a social worker or social pedagogue with experience working within the social services and in collaboration with other actors such as schools, police, leisure activities, and associations.
You have good knowledge of children with norm-breaking behavior and show personal maturity. You feel secure in your experience and competence, have good self-awareness, and know how to use your tools when meeting children, young people, and collaboration partners.
You have the ability to make decisions and lead yourself within the framework of your assignment, while also having the ability to seek help and support from managers and colleagues when needed.
Your ability to collaborate is high. You are communicative, drive the work forward, and focus on what is best for the residents of Hässleholm.
You focus on "The Team Before the Individual" and can handle working while the assignment is being formed and developed.
You have good verbal and written communication skills. You have a Category B driver's license and drive a car.
You share the values and attitudes described in our employee and leadership policy.
