About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation services, remand prisons, and client transport.
Job Description

The role of Process Support at Probation Småland requires both personal responsibility and independent work. As a Process Support, you provide close support to the Probation Officers and you will work towards a coordinated probation service by ensuring that local work is conducted in a uniform and quality-assured manner according to the agency's guidelines. The work includes planning, operational follow-up, and handling assigned cases and assignments. A central part of the role is to have a coordinating and organizing role for various processes, projects, and inquiries at the local, regional, and national levels. The work involves internal and external collaboration. As a Process Support, you are a central part of operational changes and their implementation.
The role of Process Support also involves being a support in change management work, participating in quality work, and practice work related to process development and quality development. Leading workshops is part of the job, and the work may involve travel as needed. You will be employed by a Probation Officer at the VO level and collaborate closely with centrally placed support functions, the Chief Probation Officer, and other management.
Qualifications
To succeed in your assignment, you are clear in your communication and can adapt your message based on the recipient's conditions. You are flexible, adapt easily to changed conditions, and see opportunities in change and development work. You have good analytical skills, prioritization skills, and plan and drive processes independently. You also have a holistic perspective and consider the best interests of the entire operation in all situations. You need to have a good ability to create and maintain relationships.

We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree in a subject area relevant to the position, such as behavioral science, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
- Experience in handling cases, conducting investigations, and preparing decisions.
- Probation experience and good knowledge of its new legislation and working methods.
- Knowledge and experience in driving, leading, and maintaining processes with multiple actors.
- Experience in following up on operations or projects.
- Good familiarity with the Office package.
- Very good ability to express oneself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
- Category B driver's license.
The following is also meritorious:
- Other prison and probation experience.
- Experience in operational development, change work, and supervisory work.
- Experience in project management.
- Very good knowledge of security-related issues.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's KVR system.
Interviews for the position are planned to take place during week 25.
