Job Responsibilities

We are looking for dedicated employees who want to help shape future operations for children and young people with disabilities. During the autumn, the operations will continue to develop, and as an employee here, you play a key role in creating structure, quality, and security in the children's daily lives.

As a support pedagogue, you make a difference every day. You plan and carry out meaningful activities, support the children in their development, and create good routines together with colleagues. You work based on implementation plans and use clarifying pedagogy adapted to each child's needs and abilities. The work also includes social documentation, planning of activities, and close collaboration with relatives and guardians. The duties also include practical tasks related to household management and personal care.

As a support pedagogue, you will also support colleagues in matters concerning social documentation, IBIC, and assist with communicative and pedagogical tools. By sharing knowledge and experience, the role serves as a support within the work group.

An important part of the assignment is to stay updated in the field and relay news and changes to colleagues in the work group.

Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, on-call duty, and night shifts.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who love working with children and young people. You have a degree as a support pedagogue or another pedagogical university degree, or another post-secondary degree with a relevant focus for the target group. You also have experience working with people with disabilities. It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge of autism, clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approach, and sign language as support.

To fit the role of support pedagogue here, you must be stable and confident in yourself as a person. You have a positive view of people and respect for the young people's individual needs, as well as the ability to create trusting relationships. We are looking for someone who can handle many unexpected, sometimes complex situations.

Before employment, you must be able to present a certificate of conduct according to the Act on Control of Personnel (Lag 2010:479) for personnel performing certain interventions for children with disabilities. A B-class driver's license is required.

Employment type: Permanent position.
