Job Description

We are looking for dedicated employees who want to help shape future operations for children and young people with disabilities. During the autumn, the operations will continue to develop, and as an employee here, you play a key role in creating structure, quality, and security in the children's daily lives.

The LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) children's operations include residential care for children, short-term homes, short-term supervision, respite care services, and escort services. These operations provide opportunities for children to grow, try new things, and prepare for a more independent adult life, while also giving their families time to rest. Our goal is for every child to feel seen, involved, and secure during their stay with us.

As a support assistant, you make a difference every day. You plan and carry out meaningful activities, support the children in their development, and create good routines together with colleagues. You work based on implementation plans and use clarifying pedagogy adapted to each child's needs and abilities. The work also includes social documentation, planning of activities, and close collaboration with relatives and guardians. Practical tasks related to household management and personal care are also part of the duties.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who love working with children and young people. You have a high school education within the nursing program and/or the child and youth program, or alternatively, another education or specialization deemed equivalent. You also have experience working with people with disabilities. It is an advantage if you have experience and knowledge of autism, clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal approach, and sign language as support.

To fit as a support assistant with us, you need to be a stable and confident person. You have a positive view of people and respect for the young people's individual needs, as well as the ability to create trusting relationships. We are looking for you who have the ability to handle many and unexpected, sometimes complex situations.

Other Information

• Before employment, you must be able to present a certificate of conduct according to the Act on Control of Personal Records (SFS 2010:479) for personnel performing certain interventions for children with disabilities.
• A Category B driver's license is required.
• Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, on-call, and night shifts.
• Employment type: Permanent position.
