About the role and location

Responsibilities

Do you want to become our new colleague? We are currently looking for you who want to work as a preschool teacher in Rydaholm on our department for five-year-olds. We are particularly interested in you who have a curious and exploratory approach, are engaged, love your work, and want to make a real difference. The preschools in Rydaholm and Horda currently have close cooperation with each other, and you will work in an stimulating environment that you yourself influence.

It happens in the preschool – this is where lifelong learning begins. You should enjoy constructing and creating, reading, telling stories, and performing. Your task is to infect the children with curiosity and trust in their abilities, and equip them for lifelong learning. You should enjoy reflecting together with your colleagues and curiously looking for a "why". Seeing that behind every behavior there is a need. You should look forward to the next day at work.

We always think about the children's best interests, and therefore we often divide the group and work with a few children at a time. You need to have good skills in both cooperation and enjoying working independently, but the team comes before the individual. We film, plan, and reason about what will be our next step. We work according to our vision "Children learn by succeeding." We who work in the preschool are important adults who stand for secure relationships with children and guardians. Together we create an environment characterized by security, joy, play, and development.

As a preschool teacher, you are a leader with a specific assignment and responsibility to together with colleagues plan, implement, document, reflect, and develop the pedagogical work. Together we lay a good foundation for the children's development and learning based on the preschool curriculum and Värnamo Municipality's vision. In your work with the children, you will have access to various digital tools. We have language as an overarching goal and work based on a local language plan. We also work with TSI (Early Support Measures). We look forward to sharing your knowledge, thoughts, and ideas to create a fun, secure, and educational preschool.

We are looking for you who are well-versed in the preschool's mission and can create a positive atmosphere. Your work is characterized by clear respect for the individual as well as a good relationship with children, guardians, and colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher. Great emphasis will be placed on experience of working linguistically in a multicultural preschool. It is also meritorious to be multilingual. For one of the positions, documented experience of working with children with diagnoses within NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) is also required, as well as knowledge and experience regarding alternative communication.

• You are well-versed in the preschool's steering documents and can translate the curriculum's goals into practical work. It is important that you have good knowledge of didactics and pedagogy and that you can create a good and inclusive learning environment.
• You work linguistically by creating many meaningful meetings for the children where there are opportunities to develop both speaking and interaction.
• You have a relational approach and have good knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, and adaptations are a natural part of your approach.
• You work systematically and use the SKA template (Summarize, Construct, Analyze) to document, analyze, and reflect together with both colleagues and children. Your collaboration is based on the curriculum and the municipality's value base.
• You have good IT skills and good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.
• You are clear, sensitive, flexible, and solution-focused and have the ability to adapt and meet everyday life in different ways than perhaps originally planned.
• You have a non-hierarchical approach and a desire to develop in your professional role.

Good to know

The School Act requires all employees to show an extract from the criminal record, and the processing time for this document can sometimes be long. We therefore recommend that you order this document well in advance. You also need to prove your citizenship and be prepared to present documents proving that you have a work permit or permanent residence permit.

In Värnamo Municipality, you receive work clothes and a personal iPad. In the principal's area of Rydaholm and Horda, meetings such as APT (Department Planning Meetings), collegial meetings, etc., are scheduled during the day, which many of our employees see as an advantage. Department of Children and Education

Our department is responsible for preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adult education, and music schools in the municipality.
