Do you want to work in a preschool where curiosity is our main driving force, where our choices regarding learning environments and materials are of great importance, and where every meeting counts? We are now looking for an engaged and qualified preschool assistant for a 100% temporary position for someone who wants to develop and learn with us.
Our philosophy – The power of togetherness
Our operations are based on a value-based organization where welcome, diversity, participation, and sustainability are key concepts. We are strongly inspired by the preschools in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia and work for a sustainable future through ingenuity and action. Here, the preschool is a creative place in constant change – developing for all children and educators. Great curiosity is the key to everything we do, and we believe in the power of doing things together.
We see ourselves as co-researchers and reflective practitioners who are constantly developing in a learning process where children, families, and educators collaborate.
About our environment, materials, and meals
Here, the learning environments and materials are carefully selected to awaken children's joy of exploration, creativity, and cooperation. The environment is changeable and shaped based on children's interests and needs.
The meal is a central part of our pedagogical day. We have our own kitchen that works actively with responsible gastronomy. For us, this means a strong focus on sustainable choices and laying the foundation for a healthy and sustainable relationship with food and the meal situation as a social meeting place.
As part of Pysslingen Preschools (and thus AcadeMedia), you are part of realizing our offer: "A safe and stimulating world full of opportunities".
About the role
As a preschool assistant here, you are an active part of our pedagogical operations. You are driven by openness, joy, and active listening to the children, where pedagogical documentation and reflection are our most important tools. You see how children learn in different ways and have the ability to challenge them through play, imagination, and in all daily situations. You create strong relationships with both children, colleagues, and guardians, and always keep the mission in focus.
What we are looking for in you
To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you meet the following profile:
Formal requirements and competencies
Education: Approved preschool assistant education (upper secondary or adult education).
Language: Good knowledge of the Swedish language, where you express yourself well in both speech and writing.
We are looking for someone who:
Has the mission in focus and is confident in the preschool curriculum and regulatory documents.
Is driven by a great innate curiosity, is a co-researcher, and wants to learn while seeing every day as an educational adventure together with the children and colleagues.
Meets your surroundings with joy and enthusiasm, is attentive, respectful, and believes that every meeting is significant.
Has a good ability to cooperate, is proactive, and curious.
Is action-oriented, structured, and quality-conscious in your work.
Can work with digital tools and use them as a natural part of pedagogical documentation.
Has a professional attitude and both gives and receives feedback in a constructive way.
What we offer you
We offer a structured, stimulating, and joyful workplace where you get:
Joint planning in the work team and access to a close management team.
Clear structure and follow-up in systematic quality work.
Free pedagogical meals (cooked from scratch with a focus on sustainability), access to work clothes for outdoor activities, and a fitness allowance.
Reflection days and access to AcadeMedia's benefits web.
