to apply for the job

We are now looking for two support assistants or support persons for an LSS residence in Östersund. In this group home lives one citizen. The work involves providing support in everyday life based on the individual's needs, wishes, and conditions. The work group currently consists of four support assistants/support persons. They are a tight-knit team with a very clear citizen focus. Working here involves independent work, but the team collaborates, discusses, and solves tasks together. No changes are made without the staff group first reaching a common assessment and approach. These discussions take place at regular workplace meetings. The commitment is high and everyone takes responsibility for the whole. Our way of working can be described as "smoothly rigid," which means structure and clarity, but we are also flexible when needed.

Both positions are permanent and primarily involve night shifts. One position is 100%, the other is 90% with the right to work up to full-time in other parts of the Disability Sector based on the operation's needs and in dialogue with you as an employee. Start date according to agreement. Working hours may change based on the operation's needs and conditions.

Your new job

As a support assistant/support person, you provide individually adapted support to a citizen in their home and daily life. The work is based on the citizen's needs, wishes, and implementation plan. You are a close and important support in daily life and contribute to creating safety, structure, and good living conditions.

The assignment includes providing support in daily routines, as well as planning and carrying out activities both in and outside the home. You support social contacts and leisure interests. You work with clarifying pedagogy and clear frameworks and contribute to creating predictability and structure. Documentation according to current guidelines is a natural part of the work, as is collaboration with colleagues, relatives, and if necessary, other professions.

The assignment also includes participating in longer walks as part of the citizen's daily life and well-being. The walks can last for several hours, which means you need to have good physical endurance and enjoy being active outdoors in different weather. Situations with challenging behavior may also occur in the assignment. It is therefore important that you are secure, have a low-affective approach, and can work calmly, structured, and consistently even in pressured situations. We would like you to be secure in yourself, have a calm approach, and be able to meet different situations with determined clarity, respect, and flexibility.

Common tasks
