As a personal assistant, you are a crucial support in the client's life. You work in the client's home and accompany them in their daily life – where life happens.

Your work is entirely adapted to the client's needs and wishes, and can include everything from care to social activities. You become a significant part of creating a functional, secure, and meaningful daily life.

The work varies, but may include, for example:

• Support with personal care
• Help with mobility and escorting
• Perform simple household chores
• Provide support in communication
• Participate in activities and social gatherings
• Accompany on excursions, leisure activities, and errands

We are looking for someone who:

• Is empathetic, sensitive, and responsible
• Is good at collaborating and is confident in yourself
• Can work independently and adapt to different situations
• Has good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written)
• Is at least 18 years old

✅ Experience in healthcare, elderly care, or personal assistance is an advantage – but your personality and attitude are the most important!

Working hours vary depending on the client and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

We are looking for someone who can work during the period June–August, with the possibility of an introduction before the summer.

Recruitment Process

We contact candidates who are suitable for a first interview on an ongoing basis. The position is filled when we have found the right person, which may happen before the final application deadline. Your application is processed by staff at Storsjöbygdens Personliga Assistans, together with the client, as well as any relatives, guardians, or other relevant parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, an extract from the criminal record is required.

Child's Perspective in Recruitment

At Storsjöbygdens Personliga Assistans, we strictly follow the Convention on the Rights of the Child. This means that if you apply for a position involving work with minors, the recruitment process will include specific steps to ensure that the child's wishes and needs are taken into account. Employment involving work with minor clients also includes training on the child's perspective.

Terms of Employment

If you proceed in the recruitment process, you must be able to prove your identity and demonstrate that you have the right to work in Sweden. To sign your employment contract and timesheets, you are required to have a BankID.

To ensure high quality in assistance, new employees will undergo a web-based introductory training (approx. 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than one month from the start date.
