Job Description

Do you want a job where you can change lives, strengthen families, and contribute to a safer upbringing for children and young people? Then the position of Family Therapist in the outpatient care in Bräcke Municipality might be right for you!

We are now looking for a driven and engaged Family Therapist who wants to contribute to sustainable change. As a Family Therapist in Bräcke Municipality, you work closely with children, young people, and their families in need of support and change. The work is based on evidence-based methods and proven experiences. The content of the therapeutic work is individually adapted to the needs of the child and family and is shaped together with the family based on the assignment. The work also includes interventions and support related to domestic violence. We work both in teams and individually. You meet families in their home environment as well as in our facilities, focusing on relationships, security, and development. The goal is to increase protective factors, reduce risk factors, and ensure that families receive support and help in their home environment as much as possible. A key part of this is involving the network.

The tasks include, among other things:

  • Working therapeutically and supportively with children, young people, and their parents
  • Conducting structured conversations, interventions, and follow-ups
  • Strengthening parental skills and communication within the family
  • Working more practically and concretely where there is a need for family therapy with a more pedagogical focus
  • Collaborating with schools and other key actors
  • Documenting and following up on interventions according to current guidelines

As a Family Therapist, you will become an important part of a context where you do not stand alone, but work together with competent and engaged colleagues. The operation is in an exciting development phase where we focus on strengthening and adapting our work in line with the new Social Services Act. This means you will get to help develop the unit's work, including more accessible support.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a relevant university degree, such as a Bachelor of Social Work, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • Education and experience in evidence-based interventions are meritorious
  • Has a professional, secure, and empathetic approach
  • Is structured, flexible, and has good collaboration skills
  • A Class B driver's license is required, as travel is part of the job

Personal suitability is given great weight.

A certificate of good conduct (extract from the misjudgment and criminal record register) is required prior to employment.

A probationary period of 6 months may apply.

Employment Terms

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.

We will conduct ongoing selection and interviews (except during the period June 15 - July 10), and the position may be filled before the application deadline has passed, so do not wait with your application.
