Social Worker for Central and Local Student Health Services in Vellinge

The Education Department is the municipality's largest department, encompassing all principal areas as well as the central student health service, which offers medical, psychological, social, and special pedagogical competence. We work preventively to ensure students achieve good health. We do this through direct contact with students, as well as by participating in the school's health work. We strive to strengthen the forces that maintain and develop health, and contribute to creating good and supportive environments in schools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

School curative tasks placed within Vellinge Municipality's central student health service, with assignments within Tångvallaskolan's local student health service. You need to have experience and knowledge in methods for preventive and health-promoting work with students, as well as experience/interest in working closely with guardians. Ability and interest in building good and supportive relationships with students, educators, school management, and other student health staff to create the best possible collaboration forms focused on the student's needs. Be involved and driving in the school's and student health service's drug prevention work. You also need to contribute to creating conditions so that students feel joy and motivation in their schoolwork and feel secure in their school situation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a social work degree, preferably with further education focused on schools. You have interest and experience in working with students in need of special support. You should have experience in social work in schools. You have the ability to work independently, in teams, and consultatively towards school staff. You also have experience and the ability to collaborate/cooperate with different professional competencies and authorities. You have good knowledge of how the new Education Act regulates student health and the procedures regarding students in need of special support. You are receptive, easy to collaborate with, outgoing, and curious. You find it easy to build relationships with students, school staff, and parents. You work proactively and long-term. You are driven by a desire to contribute to every child seeing themselves as an asset, knowing their strengths to contribute to a better world. Your focus is on working so that children and students meet an uncertain future as healthy, secure, active, and conscious citizens.
