We are now looking for two dedicated employees for the All-Activity Houses unit in Malmö. The work is multifaceted, and we are looking for you who want to make a real difference to strengthen the upbringing conditions for children and young people in Malmö. The main tasks will involve planning, leading, and implementing activities at the All-Activity House. Activities are developed based on requests from the residents of Malmö. Furthermore, you will work on collaborating and developing partnerships with local and external actors as well as residents in the area. The work is carried out both individually and in groups together with colleagues and other partners. You will also work with outreach activities, self-organized initiatives, and residents in the area. Some evening and weekend work is included in the position.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a personal interest in culture and experience in conducting cultural activities with the target group of children and young people. This could be, for example, in dance, film, photography, creative arts, theater, or music, as we see that this can contribute to cultural activities for the residents of Malmö.
We are looking for you who have post-secondary education such as youth worker, social pedagogy, social sciences, behavioral sciences, or other relevant university-level education. It is meritorious if you have education in children's rights or project management.
You must have at least 2 years of experience working with children and young people in groups as well as administrative tasks.
It is meritorious if you have experience in area-based work, children's rights, and collaboration with internal/external actors, as well as language skills in one of Malmö's major languages. A B-class driver's license is required.
To succeed in the role, you need to be able to build trusting and professional relationships with children, young adults, adults, and other key actors. You should be curious and have an interest in working with the target group. In addition, we are looking for you who have good collaboration skills, are responsible, and communicative. You have a norm-critical approach and are inclusive, fair, and know how to set boundaries without being too strict. You engage with the children and the activities; you are helpful, stress-resistant, and secure. As a person, you are sensitive and creative and have the ability to find solutions when challenges arise.
About the Workplace
The Cultural Administration currently operates six All-Activity Houses in Lindängen, Hermodsdal, Apelgård, Holma, Kroksbäck at Munkhätteskolan, and at Stenkulaskolan. The All-Activity Houses use school premises and offer free activities to residents in the area of all ages. Activities are offered before, during, and after school hours. The operations are based on the needs and wishes of the residents of Malmö, and the work takes place in close dialogue with the residents in the areas from a rights-based approach. The operations are characterized by diversity, human rights, and trust in the residents of Malmö. Great importance is placed on people's opportunities for influence and participation. Work may also take place at one of the other All-Activity Houses. Some evening and weekend work is included in the position. The All-Activity Houses are part of Cultural Events and Meeting Places within the Cultural Administration, a department that has the privilege of working closely and in many cases together with the residents of Malmö.
