About the role and your responsibilities

In the role of school counselor, you will work with a focus on the Hotel and Tourism program as well as the Restaurant and Food program, and also with the adapted upper secondary school. You will be part of two student health teams together with the school nurse, special education teacher, study and career counselor (SYV), and deputy principal. The position also includes school-wide work, interventions in various projects, and work within the school's counselor team.

To succeed in the role of counselor at Vipan, it is important that you are a good team player and want to collaborate closely with other professions in the student health team, mentors, teachers, and student assistants. The work requires a promoting and preventive perspective, as well as an interventionist one. You need to be able to quickly shift between different interventions. The ability to establish contacts with other actors and authorities is also important.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work (sociologist).

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a school counselor, especially at the upper secondary level and in the adapted upper secondary school.

You need to be comfortable being in the classrooms, collaborating across professional boundaries and within your own profession. You have a respectful approach to people's differences and share the values of society and the school.
