Do you want to work closely with people in a context where relationships, security, and continuity make a real difference?
At Fäladstorget's group home, you work as a supervisor with elderly individuals with intellectual disabilities, often combined with harmful substance use, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. The operations are characterized by long-term commitment, person-centered care, and strong teamwork. Here, you have the opportunity to work in an environment where stability, trust, and respect are central – and where your engagement contributes to a secure and meaningful daily life for the residents.
About the role and your responsibilities
In the role of supervisor, you work closely with the residents and have an important responsibility for ensuring quality and continuity in the daily support. The work is based on the resident's individual needs, resources, and goals.
Your responsibilities include:
- designing, following up on, and evaluating implementation plans
- documenting in the social journal according to current guidelines
- participating in coordinated individual plans (SIP)
- collaborating with relatives, guardians/administrators, and care neighbors
- providing daily support such as personal care, nursing, household chores, and shopping
- motivating activity, participation, and social interaction – both within and outside the residence
Working within social psychiatry means you are a respectful, social, and pedagogical support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. By creating security, structure, and continuity, you contribute to supporting the resident in their recovery process.
In your work, you are supported by a pedagogical coordinator, unit administrator, and a dedicated team, where collaboration and collegial support are a natural part of everyday life.
We are looking for you
We are looking for you who have relevant education in the field, for example, a higher vocational education (YH) with a focus on social psychiatry, assistant nurse with specialist training in psychiatry, social pedagogue, social worker, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Meritorious qualifications:
- training in a recovery-oriented approach
- experience with CAN-rating
- experience with documentation in LifeCare
- work experience within social psychiatry
- experience working with elderly individuals with psychiatric diagnoses, harmful substance use, addiction, or dementia
Nursing care is part of the work that you enjoy.
You have good ability to collaborate, create structure, plan, and take responsibility. As a person, you are humble, clear, and have a genuine commitment to meeting people with respect and seeing the equal value of every individual. Does this sound like a context where you would thrive and make a difference? We welcome your application – we look forward to getting to know you!

About the workplace
About the social psychiatry area of operations
Social psychiatry covers several different operations, such as housing support, employment, and work rehabilitation. The overarching goal is to create conditions for recovery and as independent a life as possible for individuals with intellectual disabilities – also in older age.
By offering flexible and individually adapted support, with high accessibility, participation, and co-determination, we strive to meet each individual's needs in a respectful and professional manner.
We are part of the Employment and Social Administration, where approximately 600 employees provide support to the people of Lund who need social services. Together, we ensure that children and young people get the best possible upbringing. We start from the whole family's situation and that no one should suffer. It is about providing support to adults with harmful substance use and addiction or intellectual disabilities, to those who need economic assistance, guardians, administrators, or support to study or work, as well as to refugees.
Here you have room to grow. Within Lund Municipality, we put knowledge at the center and create opportunities to develop in working life. We offer an inclusive work environment and a chance to influence and make a difference. Do you want to become one of us?
