We know that meaningful learning begins with students' personal interests. By combining interest with knowledge, we create education that inspires, engages, and prepares our students for the future – whether in working life or further studies. We collaborate closely with the industry and actively work to give every student the best conditions to develop and succeed, both during school years and in the future.

We are looking for you who are a veterinarian, veterinary nurse, or animal care specialist.

We are currently seeking a substitute animal care teacher for the period of August 2026 to December 2026, with a possibility of extension.

As a teacher at Realgymnasiet, you create conditions for learning and guide students based on a given educational concept and the program's educational goals. You plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching. Furthermore, you continuously work on assessing goal fulfillment and, together with the mentor, communicate this to the student. You participate in subject group work, team work, and are expected to collaborate with colleagues. In close collaboration with your teaching, there is a mentor and student health services at the school.

Together, we create an attractive school that gives students very good conditions for active learning.

You will teach on the Animal Care program within the Natural Resources program, with courses and subjects in animal health care, animal husbandry, and companion animals, with a main focus on dogs and cats. Together with other teachers in the work team, you teach students in theory rooms, method rooms, and the school's animal rooms.

You will also be an important part of the students' first contacts with working life in the form of APL (Work-Integrated Learning), where you, together with your colleagues, secure and assess the risk of internship placements and follow up on students' learning at the workplace.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, we see that you:

  • Have experience as a veterinarian, veterinary nurse, or animal care specialist level 3.
  • Have very good pedagogical insight.

The following are meritorious:

  • Teaching certification with eligibility to teach within the Natural Resources program.
  • Previous experience in the role of a teacher within upper secondary school.

We are looking for you who share Lärande's core values – security, development, team, and success. You have good cooperation skills, are flexible and change-oriented with a focus on goals and results. You have very good pedagogical insight.
