What we offer

Kristinebergskolan in Åmål brings together all students in grades 7–9 in and around Åmål. There is a good working atmosphere between the school's 400 students and the 50 or so staff members, and the school is engaged in exciting development work with the student at the center. The school has invested in classes with fewer students, home classrooms, and teachers close to the students, organized in cross-curricular work teams.

The school is led by the principal and deputy principal. Student health services are on-site every day, featuring special education teachers, counselors, and school nurses, as well as special needs teachers and social pedagogues. Several teaching assistants support both students and staff in the various work teams.

Who are you

We are looking for you who enjoy working together with colleagues to focus on the student's learning and social development. In addition to actively contributing to the development of subjects and the school, we value close collaboration with student health services, school leadership, and other staff. You adapt teaching to students' needs and communicate with guardians regarding students' knowledge development and needs.

Your role

The position involves teaching in Natural Sciences (NO) and Physical Education and Health, as well as acting as a substitute teacher. Teaching in Physical Education and Health constitutes a smaller part of the role, while teaching in the various Natural Science subjects and substitute teaching in different subjects make up the larger part. Mentoring together with a colleague is also included in the position.

Formal qualification requirements

• Certified and licensed teacher in Natural Sciences (NO) and Physical Education and Health
• Digital identification with BankID
• The employment assumes that you have a Category B driver's license

The employment

Fixed-term employment during the school year 2026–2027 at 100% with a start date of August 12 and an end date of June 16, 2027. The position is currently located at Kristinebergskolan in the Primary School Operations, Area C within the Culture and Education Administration. The direct supervisor is the principal at Kristinebergskolan. The position will be filled subject to necessary decisions being made.
