Montessoriskolan Skäret is a F-9 school (grades 1-9) with approximately 300 students divided across two buildings. Our vision, "Ready for the future. Safe in myself – safe in the world," permeates our entire operation. We strive to be the small school where structure, study environment, and a focus on learning are important parts of daily work. Everyone working at the school has the task of being clear, adult role models, creating a good atmosphere, and a safe learning environment. The school is located in Påvelund in western Gothenburg, with close proximity to both the city and nature (forest and sea). Our school is a parent cooperative, a private school with no profit requirement.

One of our physical education teachers is moving on to new adventures, and we are therefore looking for a new teacher to take over. We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Physical Education for grades 6-9. It is a plus if you are also qualified in another theoretical subject. We want you to be a clear leader with the student's goal achievement in focus. We are looking for a teacher who builds teaching on pedagogical relationships with the students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, and abilities.

We work with a cross-curricular approach that gives students a holistic view and understanding of how different subjects are connected. You will belong to a work team, so it is important that you are interested in participating in and contributing to collegial learning. You will also be a mentor in the middle school (grades 4-6) together with another teacher in grade 6. This will be an important collaboration.

Our expectations of you:

You are driven, enthusiastic, and get things done. You enjoy seeing students develop based on their unique abilities. You and your colleagues plan, implement, and evaluate teaching together with the students. The collaboration in the work team is a crucial factor in creating teaching and a learning environment that suits all students.

The position is a full-time position (100%) and you will teach grades 6-9.
