About the School

Sandgärdskolan is a school for grades 7–9 with a strong sense of community and good academic results. Our students are motivated and eager to develop. We are looking for you who want to help them succeed. Our school has five or six parallel classes and currently has approximately 410 students. What you can expect from Sandgärdskolan is a workplace with a positive atmosphere, where we work together based on current pedagogical research and combine analog and digital methods. We have a positive, secure, and supportive climate.

Responsibilities

You will work as a special needs teacher. We value your commitment and pedagogical competence highly. You enjoy being a teacher and meeting young and adult students with different backgrounds and prerequisites. In your work, you plan, implement, and evaluate teaching together with other teachers. A significant part of your working hours will be allocated to Sandgärdskolan's flexible support unit (flex). In this unit, you work together with other qualified teachers and resource persons. Here, you meet students who face challenges regarding security and school attendance, and in some cases, neurodevelopmental disorders (ND). You are also expected to support students at the school within the framework of special support.

You are part of the student health team. Support in your work is provided by ICT developers and school management.

Qualifications

You who apply are:

  • A certified teacher qualified to teach in several subjects in grades 7–9.
  • A certified special needs teacher, preferably with a focus on language, writing, and reading development.
  • Reflective and focused on developing your work to ensure student success.
  • Demonstrate good leadership qualities and create security.
  • Easily create and maintain good relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Believe that the student's success is the school's responsibility.
