About the workplace: Ekenäs School

Ekenäs School is a grades F-6 school with a big heart. The school is located in Ödsmål, a bit outside Stenungsund. The proximity to nature is used in teaching both during school hours and leisure time. We work based on our core value word HEART - Consideration, Empathy, Responsibility, Respect, Security. The personal meeting is strikingly close and an important part of our work, so that students have the opportunity to grow, develop abilities, and interests. We want to be part of inspiring learning where openness and participation create the conditions for our students to succeed well in school. From grade 4 onwards, all students have their own digital device.

Job Responsibilities

Your teaching takes place in Swedish social studies subjects as well as English. You will work with planning, implementation, and follow-up of your teaching. Your teaching is permeated by values-based work and is based on creating a positive learning identity among the students in your classroom.

You vary and adapt your teaching so that all students are given the opportunity to develop as far as possible according to the goals of the education, based on their needs and prerequisites.

You work actively with assessments and both formative and summative evaluation, where feedback is a central part to create positive learning identities for each student.

As a teacher with us, you are part of a work team where you contribute to and participate in competence development and school development at the unit together with colleagues.

The position includes mentorship.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish, English, and in the social studies subjects. You are confident in your role as a pedagogical leader and work with an accessible learning environment to create the best possible conditions for learning.

You should have a working style where student influence and flexibility are a natural part. You are a good leader in the classroom with clarity in structure, communication, goals, and results. You have qualities that include both structure and creativity.

You should be well acquainted with the compulsory school's steering documents and have good knowledge of relational leadership.

It is of great importance that you are confident in your professional role and that you are clear in dialogue with students, guardians, and colleagues.
