Sandgärdskolan is a school for grades 7–9 with a strong sense of community and good academic results. Our students are motivated and eager to develop. We are looking for you who want to help them succeed. Our school has five or six parallel classes and currently has approximately 410 students. What you can expect from Sandgärdskolan is a workplace with a positive atmosphere, where we collaborate based on current pedagogical research and combine analog and digital methods. You will work as a Lead Teacher in Mathematics, combining this role with a Natural Sciences (NO) subject. In your work, you will plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching together with other teachers in subject teams. The position also includes shared mentorship duties.

In addition to teaching and other standard teacher duties, Lead Teachers perform special tasks, the extent of which is decided by the responsible principal. The conditions for the assignment are planned together with the principal in a Task Dialogue. The following examples should be seen as guidance for the assignment: your role may include, among other things,

• working with school leadership to analyze, lead, implement, and follow up on quality development related to teaching.
• developing teaching at your own school or at other schools within the administration.
• leading, coordinating, and being responsible for school-wide development processes.
• keeping up with research and initiating pedagogical discussions.
• coordinating and acting as a discussion leader and supervisor in professional collegial learning.
• observing and supervising teaching situations.
• supervising other teachers in general didactic questions or questions related to specific subjects. Lead Teachers may also have a special assignment during the introduction of newly hired teachers.

We are looking for you who want to become a Lead Teacher, have teacher certification with eligibility to teach Mathematics combined with a Natural Sciences subject in grades 7–9, and meet the criteria in the national and local requirement profile for Lead Teachers:

National Requirement Profile

• is certified.
• can, through documentation, report at least four years of well-regarded work with teaching within the framework of one or more employments within the school system.
• has shown a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and has a strong interest in developing teaching.
• is otherwise assessed by the employer as particularly qualified for teaching and tasks related to teaching.

Local Requirement Profile

• translates policy documents into practice.
• has solid subject knowledge and subject didactic knowledge.
• can successfully adopt the learner's perspective and build good relationships with all students, where positive expectations are a natural part.
• has a good ability to disseminate teaching strategies, research, and scientific theories to colleagues in collegial professional learning.
• has shown commitment and solid interest in school development.
• has a good ability to supervise colleagues and lead development processes both within the subject and school-wide.
• has the ability to inspire and be a good ambassador for the profession.
• is proficient in teaching with modern technology.
• has the ability, together with school leadership, to analyze, lead, implement, and follow up on work related to quality development connected to teaching.
