Västsvenska Gymnasiet is a smaller school with approximately 280 students. A large portion of our students begin with us on an introductory program, completing their eligibility requirements in parallel with the goal of obtaining a high school diploma. Since our student group faces varying challenges and has a significant need for support, we place extra emphasis on creating a safe environment, study peace, and good relationships.

We are in an exciting phase of development where we are gradually expanding our Care and Nursing program, creating an increased need for pedagogical competence.

Job Description

We are now looking for an engaged high school teacher who teaches natural science subjects, both on the Natural Science program, the Care and Nursing program, and on the introductory program. Subjects include anatomy and physiology, natural science, biology, and environmental science.

You plan and conduct teaching according to current guidelines. Your focus is on creating a varied, relevant, and inspiring learning environment that meets students where they are. You will be part of a work team focused on the Care and Nursing program and will serve as a mentor.

Qualifications

• Licensed high school teacher.
• It is an advantage if you are qualified in multiple subjects or have other relevant competence.
• Strong pedagogical skills and an inclusive approach.
• A natural ability to engage and motivate students who need extra support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the high school level or on introductory programs.
• Interest in cross-curricular collaboration.
• Good digital competence and experience using digital tools as pedagogical support.

Employment Type: Permanent position, 100%. (6-month probationary period applies).
