Job Responsibilities

Are you passionate about putting the child's best interests at the center and providing support to families in difficult life situations? Do you want to work in an environment where collaboration, development, and engagement are a natural part of everyday life? Then you are the one we are looking for!

As a Social Secretary in our child and youth operations, you will have an exciting and varied job where you help create security and support for children and young people in vulnerable situations. You will work both independently and in teams. Here, you become an important part of protecting, strengthening, and developing the future. Your tasks include, among others:

  • Responsibility and planning for independent cases with investigation and assessment according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Special Provisions on Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) for children and young people aged 0–21.
  • Motivational work with children, young people, and their families.
  • Follow-up of ongoing interventions and regular documentation.
  • Collaboration with internal colleagues and external actors such as schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), police, and other authorities.
  • Decision-making based on current legislation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a strong commitment to social work with children and young people. We see that you are driven and see opportunities instead of limitations. You have the ability to remain calm even in stressful situations. You can work independently and in teams, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and have the ability to adapt to changes. We are looking for you who have an open and positive attitude and a high degree of empathy.

To thrive in the role, we believe you have good knowledge of how society functions and are comfortable guiding, informing, and advising the families you meet. You show interest and understanding for others and contribute to creating a team spirit by listening, consulting, and supporting your colleagues.

Formal Competencies

  • Social Work degree or other higher education that can be considered equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the legislation SoL and LVU, as well as experience in investigations within the field.
  • Experience in authority practice regarding children and young people.
  • Regular documentation is part of your duties, which requires that you master the Swedish language in speech and writing and have good computer skills.
  • Category B driver's license and ability to drive a car.

We use the successful methods BBIC and Signs of Safety, which means we focus on building strong and sustainable solutions together with the children and families we support. Knowledge and experience with these methods are meritorious.

We may apply a probationary period for the position.
