Junior Business Controller at Pågen in Malmö

We are now offering an exciting opportunity in a new role where you will work with business-oriented controlling.

As a Jr Business Controller at Pågen, you will become part of our dedicated controlling team, where you have your own area of responsibility while simultaneously supporting your colleagues with more overarching controller tasks. This may include financial reporting, follow-up, and internal control work. The role gives you a broad platform for development within controlling and business-oriented analysis.

You report to our Head of Controller and are located at our headquarters in Malmö, where we all work in the office because we believe it strengthens collaboration, simplifies dialogue, and makes the work both more enjoyable and more efficient.

Main areas of responsibility and tasks

In this role, together with the operations and your colleagues within controlling, you have an important task in ensuring that Pågen's product calculations are correct and reflect the actual costs. You actively work with follow-up, analysis, and improvement of calculation models, contributing to increased transparency and understanding of product profitability.

• Together with operations and other controllers, ensure that all of Pågen's calculations are correctly set up and processed regarding both recipes and capacity.
• Together with other controllers, develop and own the process to ensure calculations, as well as develop efficient methods to capture costs according to the organization's needs and expectations.
• Support the bakery controllers in managing deviations in the bakeries' raw material consumption to improve the accuracy of the calculations.
• Together with Product Development (PU), ensure high-quality product calculations during the launch process/Business case.
• Simulate the effects of potential changes in the calculation and clearly explain the effects to the operations.
• Participate in and conduct analysis of the financial statements.
• Ensure that departments within your responsibility are thoroughly prepared in forecast and budget processes.
• Support and collaborate with other controllers in tasks within the department.

Your background

We believe you are a graduate in economics or equivalent and are at the beginning of your career. If you have previous work experience in finance or controlling, it is an advantage but not a requirement.

As a person, you are communicative, curious, and engaged. You pick up new things easily and are eager for challenges. Having a good understanding and interest in numbers, as well as the ability to understand and analyze the background, is essential to succeed and thrive in the role. The role is broad and involves a large network, so you need to enjoy collaborating and communicating broadly.
