About Bogesund School
Bogesund School is a grades F-6 school located in the central parts of Ulricehamn. We are a school with approximately 460 students, with three parallel classes in each grade level, as well as three after-school care units. Here, you have the opportunity to work in teams with qualified and experienced staff. Our vision is for Bogesund School to be a safe place with an open and positive spirit, where we aim to create an environment characterized by consideration, good behavior, and mutual respect in our interactions.
In our operations, we focus on ensuring that all students thrive and feel secure at school. They should encounter content that promotes learning and development based on their experiences, abilities, and prerequisites. At Bogesund School, our students should be able to participate and have active influence over their education.
Responsibilities
The position includes teaching and planning for grades 4–6, both individually and in close collaboration with the teaching team. The work is based on the goals and guidelines of the curriculum and is characterized by shared responsibility for students' learning and development.
We consider it crucial that you have good knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) and possess a secure and clear leadership style in the classroom. You must be able to create structure, build relationships, and adapt teaching to meet the needs of different students. We place great emphasis on continuously developing teaching. We do this through active and systematic quality work where we identify and follow up on the school's development areas. Collegial learning is a natural part of our way of working, and you will have the opportunity to both contribute to and benefit from the shared learning in the team. As part of the role, you may also join one of the school's working groups, where we together drive important issues regarding teaching, values, and school development.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for grades 4–6 or 1–7 with eligibility to teach Swedish, Mathematics, and English. It is an advantage if you also have eligibility in Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), Music, and/or Art.
As a teacher here, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in accordance with current regulatory documents. You create a clear, structured, and secure learning environment with good study conditions, where students are given the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites. Through your teaching, you spark engagement, curiosity, and participation.
We would appreciate it if you have a strong commitment to students in need of special support, as well as experience in teaching and educational development in grades 4–6 and value-based work. You have the ability to see and meet each student based on their individual needs and prerequisites. You understand that students learn in different ways and adapt your teaching accordingly, while also challenging students to take the next step in their learning.
You view assessment and documentation as a natural part of the teaching role and use them as tools to make visible and promote students' knowledge development.
As a person, you are structured and have a good ability to plan and organize your work in a way that creates clarity for students. You show genuine engagement for both each individual student and the school's operations as a whole. You see opportunities in change and want to actively contribute to developing teaching together with your colleagues. Collaboration is a natural part of your way of working, and you contribute to a good work climate by sharing experiences and participating in the team's joint planning and collegial learning.
