Special Needs Teacher for Toftaskolan in Munka-Ljungby

Toftaskolan is located in Munka-Ljungby in the municipality of Ängelholm. Starting from the autumn term of 2026, it will operate as a lower secondary school (grades 7–9) with approximately 300 students and around 30 dedicated educators. The school area also includes Össjö School (grades F–6) and Tåssjö Boarding School.

At Toftaskolan, we operate on the belief that all students can succeed with the right conditions. We believe in our students' drive, curiosity, and desire to develop. Together, we work to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

As a Special Needs Teacher, you play a central and leading role in the school's student health work and in the development of our support measures. You are part of the student health team and collaborate closely with students, teachers, and school leadership to create the best possible conditions for learning and development.

The work is both preventive and remedial, including pedagogical assessments, analyses, and observations to identify students' needs for support and adjustments. You contribute special pedagogical competence in developing strategies and solutions for students where we have not yet achieved the desired success.

The role also includes teaching students in grades 7–9 who are in need of special support, both individually and in smaller teaching groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree as a Special Needs Teacher and a teaching license, along with documented experience working with students in grades 7–9. You need to have good knowledge of students in need of special support and feel confident in planning, implementing, and following up on support measures both individually and in groups.

You have experience with:

  • Pedagogical assessments and investigations,
  • Documentation and work with action plans,
  • Language, reading, and writing difficulties,
  • Teaching and support measures in smaller groups,
  • Adjustments and inclusive learning environments in lower secondary school.

As a person, you are structured, relationship-building, and solution-focused. You easily create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and work long-term and systematically with student cases and follow-ups.

What We Offer

With us, you get:

  • Close and engaged collaboration in work teams and the student health team,
  • The opportunity to influence and develop the school's support work,
  • A student-centered job where relationships, structure, and continuity are in focus,
  • Dedicated colleagues and a business with a strong spirit of development.

We place great importance on personal suitability. We warmly welcome your application – we look forward to welcoming a new colleague to our team!
