An adapted primary school in Finspång is now looking for student assistants with a focus on subject areas.

In the Municipality of Finspång, there is an adapted primary school for students in grades 1–9 at Nyhemsskolan. We invest heavily in creative learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, and have a varied schoolyard with an adjacent school forest. Your future responsibilities

As a student assistant, you will work at the adapted primary school and in the associated after-school center. The role involves supporting students' knowledge-based and social development together with other staff. We place great emphasis on starting from the students' disabilities and being communicative and clear in daily work. You will work under the supervision of a responsible pedagogue.

The role also includes

Work at the after-school center, which includes opening and closing duties according to schedule. As a student assistant, the role also includes care duties, such as support during hygiene situations and lifting.

Who are you?

You are flexible, empathetic, and calm, and have the ability to take personal responsibility in your work. Good teamwork skills and a strong commitment that combines care for the student with pedagogical ability are of great importance.

You have a professional attitude and commitment to your work. You actively participate in the school's and the work team's various joint tasks and contribute your own ideas and experiences.

We are looking for you who have long experience working with children and young people with challenging behavior. You must have several years of experience working with the target group (intellectual disability, autism, ADHD/ASD, etc.). Competence in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and a low-arousal approach is required. The ability to meet our students in their communication is of utmost importance.
