Björkhagaskolan is a multicultural school located centrally in a residential area with mixed housing. The school is close to both the city center and nature-rich surroundings.

The school has approximately 460 students from preschool class up to grade 6. The operations also include an after-school center (fritidshem) for all ages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is a temporary substitute role for an employee on study leave during the academic year 2026/2027.

You will belong to and work at one of four departments at the after-school center. Together with the other staff on the department, you will be responsible for planning and monitoring the department's activities and the students' development towards the set goals.

You will also be responsible for planning and working at the youth center one evening per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you are skilled at working with people of all ages. You have a good ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and guardians. You have a positive attitude, are solution-focused, convey joy, and see the strengths and opportunities in every student. You have a structured approach to work and are skilled at inspiring and helping students reach as far as possible.

Requirements:

  • Teacher certification for after-school centers (lärare i fritidshem)
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing

Merits:

  • Category B driver's license
  • Experience working with students whose native language is not Swedish

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
