What you will do

As a support assistant, you work closely with users in their daily lives, which is characterized by both planned interventions and spontaneous situations where you need to meet the individual's needs in the moment. You are an important support in the practical, social, and pedagogical work, and together with colleagues, you create a safe and structured daily life for the user. We work for a safe environment through structure, preventive work, and a low-affective approach. Our users need support around the clock, which means that working hours are distributed across all hours of the day and all days of the week.

You will among other things:

• Support and motivate our residents in daily activities to promote independence
• Help with personal care, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and activities
• Perform delegated health and medical tasks, such as medication management and insulin
• Document according to current guidelines and work with implementation plans
• Participate in the development of the business, supervision, and training

For the new unit, we are looking for approximately 6–8 positions day/evening/weekend and 2 positions awake night/weekend. Please state in your application which position you are applying for.

Interviews will take place on June 11 and 17.

Your experience

To enable internal mobility, even you who currently work permanently as a support assistant within the adult department can apply.

If you are an external applicant, you have:

• High school education in care and nursing, preferably with a focus on disability
• Experience of working within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), co-morbidity, and social psychiatry
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Accustomed to documentation and basic computer skills
• Experience of aggressive behavior and feel safe in work where this occurs
• Knowledge of challenging behaviors
• Experience of low-affective approach, cognitive support, and health-promoting working methods
