Your new role

We are currently looking for a strategic buyer for our client in Gothenburg.

This is a role for you who wants to work broadly with purchasing in a production-oriented environment. You will combine operational purchasing work with more tactical and strategic parts, where you among other things are responsible for ordering, delivery follow-up, supplier contacts, and material flows.

In the role, you work closely with both suppliers and internal functions such as planning, engineering, production, and projects. You will have an important role in ensuring good delivery precision and contributing to the achievement of milestones for production and projects.

The environment is characterized by high tempo, clear delivery requirements, and many contact surfaces. Therefore, we are looking for you who is communicative, driven, and solution-oriented, and who thrives taking responsibility even when conditions change.

Your main tasks will include among other things:

• Purchasing materials and services based on planned needs.
• Placing purchase orders and following up on deliveries.
• Ensuring that production and projects receive materials on time.
• Handling order tracking and delivery follow-up.
• Handling supplier invoices and purchase-related administration.
• Providing ongoing feedback to internal stakeholders.
• Building and developing relationships with suppliers.
• Monitoring supplier performance and relevant KPIs.
• Working with RFQs, supplier evaluations, and supplier approvals.
• Driving improvements related to material flows.
• Supporting work with consignment setups at suppliers.
• Collaborating closely with internal functions such as planning, engineering, production, and projects.

To be successful in this role you need

• You have a bachelor's degree or relevant experience within supply chain, sourcing, or purchasing.
• You have experience in operational, tactical, or strategic purchasing.
• You have a good understanding of purchasing and supply chain in a production-oriented environment.
• You are accustomed to ordering, delivery follow-up, and supplier contact.
• You have experience with RFQ work, supplier follow-up, or supplier relationships.
• You have the ability to independently drive activities to ensure good delivery precision.
• You thrive in an environment with high tempo and changing conditions.
• You have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with various contact surfaces.
• You master English well in speech and writing.
