Do you want to work in a role where you make a concrete difference for people with extensive and complex needs? As a Personal Representative, you work closely with individuals with mental disabilities who need support to obtain the right interventions from society. We are now looking for you who want to help develop our operations forward.

About the position

As a Personal Representative, you work on behalf of the individual and offer qualified support to people with mental disabilities who face significant difficulties in daily life and have an extensive need for coordinated interventions. The target group includes people who often have long-term contact with several different authorities, where society's support measures are not always sufficiently coordinated. The assignment involves mapping needs together with the client, supporting the coordination of different contacts, and working to ensure that the right interventions are sought and granted.

With us, you work in an operation that is independent of authority exercise, where the focus is on the individual's needs and assignment. This gives you the opportunity to work closely with the client with great independence and flexibility, while having a significant responsibility. You meet people in complex life situations, which places demands on your ability to create structure, build trust, and navigate a comprehensive welfare system.

The Unit for Personal Representatives in Örebro is a small, experienced, and engaged work group with a clear mission: to support people with extensive and complex needs who risk falling between different societal interventions. We offer an open and supportive work climate where experience sharing and collaboration are central. You receive continuous supervision and become part of an operation that works for the individual's best interest and contributes to highlighting and influencing deficiencies in the welfare system.

Examples of tasks:

  • identify and formulate needs for support, care, and interventions together with the client
  • support the client in contacts with authorities and other actors
  • work to coordinate interventions from different principals
  • work relationally to strengthen the individual's own ability to influence their situation
  • contribute to highlighting deficiencies in society's support for the target group
  • inform about the operation by leading presentations and outward-facing efforts

About the workplace

The workplace is the office at Åbylunden 1, which serves as your base. The work also involves visiting clients in their homes or other meeting places and offices within Örebro Municipality as needed. You also have the opportunity for some remote work when the schedule allows.

The work is characterized by great freedom under responsibility, with good opportunities to plan and structure your workday yourself, with support from colleagues and management.
