We are looking for

Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Odontology.

Content and responsibilities

Teaching based on challenge-based learning. Supervision of dental students and other administrative duties.

For the autumn term 2026, we are seeking teaching assistants in biomaterials science, periodontology, endodontics, orofacial pain and masticatory function, cariology, and community dentistry/oral diagnostics.

Qualifications

Only those admitted to undergraduate or advanced level studies may be employed as teaching assistants (Higher Education Ordinance, Chapter 5, Section 10).

In addition to formal competence, university employees must possess the personal qualities needed to perform the duties well and to represent the university in the best possible way.

Specific requirements for this position:

• A well-regarded student with approved results and a good study pace
• You are in the later stages of your education and have completed and passed at least the course you will be teaching
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good collaboration skills

Faculty and sections

At the Faculty of Odontology, we conduct research and education in dentistry in a broad sense. Our research spans a wide spectrum: from molecular biological studies to clinical and public health studies of oral health across different generations, social classes, and groups. We train dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, and future specialist dentists.

We also provide university-based dental care through one of the region's largest dental clinics, treating approximately 10,000 patients annually.

The Faculty of Odontology is divided into four sections. The organization offers great opportunities for cooperation and exchange within the various tasks of dental care, teaching, and research. The teaching assistants will belong to:

• Section 2 – Biomaterials Science and Periodontology.
• Section 3 - Endodontics, Orofacial Pain and Masticatory Function, and Cariology.
• Section 4 - Community Dentistry/Oral Diagnostics.
