About You

On behalf of our client in Klippan, we are looking for a mature personal assistant who is attuned to our client's needs and wishes.

We are currently seeking hourly staff who can step in as needed, with the possibility of permanent shifts. The client primarily works day or night shifts (with on-call duties), but 24-hour shifts may also occur.

For us, it is important that you connect with the client you will be working for and that you are responsive to their needs and wishes. You should be empathetic and respect the client's integrity.

You are cheerful and ready to make independent decisions. You are responsible, collaborative, calm, and have great patience. You have the ability to step back when needed. You should be solution-oriented and enjoy challenges at work. A strong work ethic and fluent Swedish in both speech and writing are mandatory.

You should have good physical fitness as some lifting is involved, although assistive devices such as lifts are of course available.

The client is a young woman in her 20s with an intellectual disability and cerebral palsy (CP). She leads an active life and is very interested in music and going out to do fun things such as swimming, shopping, and concerts. The client's disability means she needs constant supervision and motivation in daily activities. The work team uses a low-affective approach.

The client does not communicate verbally but through body language and partly through picture support.

You can work days, evenings, and weekends. Personal assistance is provided during all hours of the day where the client is located.

Experience in personal assistance is a plus. You will become part of a fantastic team working together for the client.

Your Responsibilities

Tasks vary as per the profession. This can range from individualized care to household chores. The assistance is primarily provided in the client's home but also involves accompanying them to activities outside the home.

You work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training is provided on-site and through Monument Assistans.

A driver's license is required, and only female applicants are considered.
