We are now looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika. This is a full-time consultancy assignment starting as agreed, offering the opportunity to work in a global, technology-driven organization with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and future energy solutions. The role offers some flexibility regarding remote work, but the candidate is expected to work primarily on-site in Ludvika.

In the role of Procurement/Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for strategic procurement and sourcing within major investment and construction projects. You will work closely with the business operations and manage the entire procurement process – from market analysis and supplier selection to negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance monitoring.

You will become a key part of the organization's strategic procurement efforts, focusing on quality, cost-efficiency, sustainability, and long-term supplier relationships. The role involves numerous interfaces both locally and globally, making it ideal for you who thrive in an international and complex project environment.

• Conduct market analyses and identify suppliers within CAPEX and construction-related categories.
• Drive the entire sourcing process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Develop and implement strategic category management strategies aligned with business goals.
• Plan and monitor procurement activities, budgets, and savings forecasts.
• Ensure quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain.
• Work with risk management related to quality, finance, and supplier capacity.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in global project environments.
• Ensure that contracts and procurement terms follow the company's guidelines and processes.

You are a driven and strategic procurement professional with experience in large CAPEX or construction projects within international organizations. You are analytical, business-minded, and have a strong ability to drive complex processes forward in a structured manner.

Furthermore, you are a skilled negotiator who thrives in a global environment with many interfaces and parallel projects. You build relationships easily and collaborate with different parts of the business while working independently with significant personal responsibility.

• An academic degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement and large CAPEX/construction projects.
• Experience in developing and implementing global category management strategies.
• A good understanding of technical categories within construction, process equipment, and contracting.
• Experience in project management and working in complex matrix organizations.
• Very good skills in MS Office, especially Excel and MS Project, and experience with SAP Ariba.
• Very good communication skills in English. Swedish and additional languages are meritorious.

Previous experience working at Hitachi Energy or similar international industrial operations is highly meritorious.
