Personal Assistant for an Energetic Young Man in Bua – 50–100 %

This is a job where things actually happen.

In a house in Bua lives a young man full of energy and joy for life. He lives here with his parents, two younger siblings, and two cats – so yes, it is rarely completely quiet. There is laughter, playing, some sibling bickering, and sometimes the pace picks up significantly. In the middle of all this, you are there as a safe haven.

The young man requires round-the-clock assistance. Sometimes you work alone, sometimes together with a colleague. The role involves both responsibility and closeness. You help with medication, inhalations, transfers, physiotherapy, and personal hygiene.

He has diagnoses that cause involuntary muscle movements and he sometimes injures himself. Therefore, he always needs someone close by – someone who can read the situation, stay calm when things get stormy, and pick up on signals before they escalate.

But the job is not just about care.

It is also about speed and joy.

He loves when things happen: driving the wheelchair fast, bouncing on a trampoline, listening to music, or joining in on his siblings' antics. Animals and walks are also favorites. Here, you are not just a support – you are part of everyday life, of the laughter, and of all the things that make life fun.

We are looking for someone who is secure, sensitive, and physically strong enough for manual lifting. You are present, have patience, and can switch between calm and playfulness. Being a bit spontaneous doesn't hurt.

Experience with children or healthcare is a plus, but not decisive. The most important thing is that you work well together. When the personal chemistry is right, the job becomes something more than just a job.

You start as an hourly employee, with the possibility of a fixed-term contract as long as the assignment lasts, if it feels right for both parties, with a working time of 50–100 %. Shifts are scheduled during the day, evening, and every other weekend according to a rolling schedule. During holidays and leave, there is an opportunity to work more, so we are also looking for hourly substitutes.
